I am planning a trip to the casino for a concert in March. However, websites and yellow pages travel gives me a lot of contradictory information on the location, quality hotels. Suggestions?

Yes, the guy above me is right ... Horseshoe Casino just outside of Chicago and a better proposal, they have special buses that go between downtown Chicago and casino ... probably cheaper than a taxi to ... I do not know the name of the bus company that does this, but ...
I do not know any names, but there are many casinos in the right place nex to the casino. The area of all the casinos are not the greatest area. I recommend to stay near the casinos. You can also stay in Chicago and take a taxi home for only 20 minutes on foot.
The Ramada is always nice. My son was there and loved it.
