Legislators of the 09th Night cricket in May 2007 allowed Adam Gilchrist with a squash ball in his glove eyelid, which have helped him a record 149 guests in the victory for Australia in the World Cup finals.

The Marylebone Cricket Club said Gilchrist not acted against the law or the spirit of the game has.

"Gilchrist's use of a developed squash ball was, to change the power in his bat, while in the crease, he had every right to" Read a "MCC statement.

Gilchrist was the man of the match as Sri Lanka beat Australia by 53 runs on a rain affected and a bit stupid World Cup Final 28th April in Bridgetown, Barbados.

However, the MCC said the relevant rule only spoken, was what external protective equipment.

"It has been suggested that during the operation of a squash ball in his glove makes you bat like Adam basis Gilchrist then perhaps the ICC should be mandatory." - Peter Young Cricket Australia spokesman of an eyelash, helmets, pads, gloves and arm pads are all listed as permitted.

"Nobody has any definition or prescription, said the MCC.

"There is no restriction in law even in the outward form of Batting Gloves, let alone the interior thereof, no law was violated."

I think it is near the base of the thumb. Demonstarting the other day at the Salon Cricket (TV show over lunch, games Australian)
