I use it for my iPhone 3G the whole time
There are several ways to do this.
Save the image on your computer and e-mail to you. Open it in the e-mail and click on the image for a few seconds. It will be a pop-up asking you to save the image.
You can access the web page in Safari on the phone and follow the instructions listed above, hold the image and save it.
You can also use this image on your computer and synchronize it with pictures when you sync your phone with iTunes.
